Experiences that are rejuvenating my Life, taught by Mr Joel Pannikot
“When I let go of what I am, I become what I might be.”Lao Tzu According to Chinese tradition, Lao Tzu lived in the 6th century BC. Historians variously contend that Lao Tzu (or Laozi) is a synthesis of multiple historical figures, that he is a mythical figure, or that he actually lived in the 4th century BC.
Some of us wonder why we can’t become better than what we are, when the truth is that we never think about how “better” we can get. We are obsessed with being too fat or too thin, too underpaid or too busy, too unhappy or dissatisfied, so much that the obsession starts becoming our reality. What do you think a runner is focused on when he is standing at the get-set-go mark of a race? That’s right. He is focused on winning! And only when he lets go of thinking about all things that can possibly go wrong with him in the race, can he truly become a winner.
Trust your own capacity to become what you can, and allow yourself, it’s you right and your responsibility to yourself.
“Take the first step in faith. You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the first step.”
- Martin Luther King, Jr.
